Oak House offers varied activities and entertainment.  The home employs 2 activity coordinators who facilitate group activities as well as one-to-one sessions with residents.  We have regular visits from a hairdresser, aromatherapist, chiropodist and religious ministers.

At least twice a week the home holds music afternoons provided by a range of performers and musicians. We are also lucky to have amazing local volunteers who come in to the home for singing, readings and floristry.

Some recent activities include:

  • Making craft items
  • Pilates
  • Quizzes
  • Gardening sessions
  • Care home Olympics
  • Trips to local coffee mornings

We actively encourage visitors into the home to maintain links with family friends and community.

Lunch Club

On the first Wednesday each month Oak House hosts a lunch club for the local community. This has proved extremely popular over the last few years and places get booked quickly.  Tickets are £7.50 for a 2 course lunch including tea or coffee. To book a table please contact us here.
